The day started up at Hayfield, the usual short loop, with beautiful sunshine, ice and the birth of Team Rata!

But ended with Dan breaking both his hands/wrists

Bad times…….

We were only out for the short loop, it’s difficult to get the whole gang out together these days with so many father duties! It happened on the first descent there, down into Coldwell Clough. There were patches of ice, and it was loose, his front wheel washed in a bend and he went down kinda awkward. I only saw the aftermath, i was bringing up the back, takin it easy.

He was obviously in a deal of pain, but he rode on, he finished the ride in fact, but with the price of pain. In the car going home, he questioned getting it checked out.

He even partied at the lads beer, film and pizza night, but the next day he took himself off to hospital, and the verdict was in…..

Gutted bro.
